Looking for Input:
So J and I had a discussion a couple of weeks ago. I am glad he brought it up, bc usually in our relationship, he wouldn’t say anything and he would just let things simmer until he blew up into a horrible argument.
Guy Friends….
I forget what show it was on, but someone said that guys and girls can’t just be friends, that there is always a motive behind it. J seems to be on the same page, to an extent. He has a couple of friends that are girls, and it doesn’t bother me, not in the least. I, on the other hand, have some friends that are guys. I don’t look at them as potential dates, etc, but J is under the impression that any guy that I am friends with wants something more. Am I just naïve, or is there some sort of double standard?
Yes, my guy friends will make comments, etc, but I have never looked at some of these people as more than just friends/brothers. I wouldn’t expect them to talk to me any different than they talk to “the guys”, so I guess the thought never crossed my mind that they had other intentions.
What do you think?? Can girls and guys be just friends, or am I just blind?
