Maybe I am just being overly optimistic... but I have been trying this week to really simplify the things around me. I've been organizing things at work, and tonight I made some definite progress purging things at home. It makes me feel better knowing that the things I do have are being utilized, and I really just want to get rid of all the damn clutter we have (we have our shed, the storage closet, the entryway and a spare bedroom over flowing with CRAP). I need to really spend some time sorting out what I do and don't need, then donating it or getting rid of it some other way. Ugh!
Also, I went through my FB and deleted a bunch of people, pages I liked, etc. I am working on doing the same thing with my google reader. Neely posted yesterday about the habit of being "plugged in" all the time. I am super guilty, which drives J nuts. I am working on being better, but I also know realistically it is something I am never going to be able to NOT do. Let's face it, I am VERY reliable on technology.

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I swear J and I never have dinner without checking fb/twitter/sport scores/news sites, etc. I feel like the more attached we become to our technology the less we actually interact with each other.
