Movie Review: 50/50

So, we are sitting here watching a movie that I had never heard of, but shockingly ended up liking, and unfortunately relating to.

Joseph Gordon Levitt (Adam) finds out he has a rare form of cancer.  It chronicles his treatments, reactions, family reactions, etc.  

There was a pretty amazing all star cast… Seth Rogan, Bryce Dallas Howard, Anjelica Houston, Walt from Modern Family… I was surprised there wasn’t more hype about this movie, or maybe there was and I have just been disconnected from everyone.

While I liked this movie, it was hard hitting at times… watching how he dealt with his illness and the side effects was hard.  I took my gram to most of her chemo treatments, so seeing those scenes and reliving it was the worst.  Watching his girlfriend cheat on him and leave him during what has to be the worst part of a person’s life… disgusting.  But this is real life, and real life isn’t always pretty.  

Overall, I will say that when J suggested this one, I stuck my nose in the air and prepared myself to be on the laptop the entire time.  Honestly, I really loved this movie.  Really REALLY loved this movie!
