Sunday Check-In

This weekend was amazing... busy, but still slow enough to recharge, which is always wonderful :)

Friday Night, I met with my sister's BF's Sister (make sense).  I am bartending their wedding in a couple of weeks and they wanted my help finalizing the alcohol, etc.  What I thought would just be a quick meeting turned into almost 3 hours!  We had a great time chatting and enjoying some wine... I am def looking forward to June 2!

Saturday I woke up and started the daunting task of Laundry.  We share 1 machine with 2 other apts, and the Neighbors from Hell (their official nickname) seem to be using it 3-4 nights per week... so needless to say, I am about 7 loads in and counting (I have 2 full closets, so for me this was not a severe issue... however J has been doing small loads of just his stuff to get through the week).  I am hoping to finish it all today, and then try and do 1 load every couple of days or so to stay caught up.
Then we went on DATE NIGHT!  So much fun!  J and I have not done this in a while, and it was needed.  We started the night at the Winery just minutes from our house.  They recently remodeled and offer wine by the glass now, so we took advantage.  When you walk in, they offer each of you a complimentary tasting... 5 wines of your choice.  We did that and then bought 3 (2 to take home, 1 to the next stop on our night) bottles.  They are offering their own Micro Brews June 1, so we already have a double date set up to go back :)
We then headed to a friends house to meet them for a double date at our favorite Mexican Resturant.  So yummy!  After that we chatted for a long time, then J and I ended the night with a night cap at a bar right by our house.  Needless to say, I passed out when we got home!

Today we woke up, did some more laundry and dishes, and then headed to Home Depot.  We needed a new Smoke detector and garden supplies.  Seeing as how we made a HUGE decision at the Winery and we are NOT moving (YAY!), we wanted to get our garden started.  So we bought tomato plants, jalapenos, cilantro, Basil, Oregano, green peppers and some other items and J planted them this afternoon.  Now he is napping and I am here.

So other than that, nothing too exciting.  Oh!  I did manage to go through our spare/junk.storage room the other night and really make it a spare bedroom!  J's mom is coming up sometime in June from NC and will be staying with us.  I feel so much better knowing we have a cozy space for her, and I am going through and finding yummy Vegetarian meals to make while she is here.  Such a productive day!

Hope you Lovelies are having a great weekend!
