Blogher Prompt from November: “When you writing, do you prefer to use a pen or the computer?”
Hmmm… I would have to say a little of both, depending on the situation. More often than not, I am infront of the computer. But there are situations where I prefer to write things out. For example, at work I would say I do 99% of my correspondence via computer, either through email or typing and mailing letters to clients. Sometimes though, I do feel compelled to hand write the note or fax cover sheet I am sending… I don’t know why, I just do.
At home, I rarely write anyplace other than my computer. Its sad, given that I am a pen Snob and have so many wonderful pens to write with. The only time I really Write, is when it comes to a recipe. Something about having it in my own handwriting is important to me. So all of the recipes in my binders are ones I have hand written. They may start as something from the computer, but it is all handwritten from there.
Speaking of pens and being a pen snob… here is my new favorite pen:
I use them in black. I really like the Sharpie pens, and I do use them a lot, but this pen was given to me by a client, and I loved it. So much so that I even converted J from his pens that he has loved for years. It is made by Pilot, and it is called the Bottle2Pen…. Meaning that the outer material is made from recycled plastic bottles… very cool! It writes great, and is fairly inexpensive, but still fits nicely in your hand. Def recommended!
