My Passion... This topic scared me, and honestly sat in my queue for a long time. What is my passion? Is it my career, my family, reading? What makes me happy, and makes me feel fulfilled in my life?
Honestly, and truthfully, I've thought long and hard about this. My Passion... is helping people. Whether it be my patients, my friends, the people I work with, or my family... I love to take care of and help people. Make sure that they know that if they need a shoulder to cry on, a meal made someone to talk to... I am here for them, no matter what time of day it is.
Do I think I am always successful in this? Not necessarily, but I try. I know I need to be better about returning calls and txts, showing up to events, etc. But I hope that deep down, each person I have contact with knows that I am someone that is here for them, not matter what they need.
Hearing the voice of a patient who has been helped, who feels like someone is listening and trying to understand... that makes me happy.
Seeing the look on my nephew's face as I blow bubbles with him and help him form sentences... that makes me happy.
Spending time with an old friend and offering an ear when they need it... that makes me happy.
All of those things honestly make my heart feel full... make me feel like I have done what I was placed here to do. It's the best feeling in the world, girls.
