Forcing myself to face the music...

Alright girlies... June 1 was the day.  I literally said to myself, "Come hell or highwater, I am going to make a change".  I started off doing really well in March, and then around my birthday fell off the bandwagon.  I cannot stand the feeling in my own skin right now.  I just feel... yuck! 

So I am starting again, and eating better.  The problem is finding time in my schedule... I LOVE sleep, and after  work I am so tired, too.  What do you find is better, a morning workout before work, or after work/in the evening?  I know it is going to be trial & error for me to find something I can stick to, but I am willing to try anything at this point...

Tuesdays are going to be the hardest, bc I have my nephew overnight.   However, that elliptical is sitting in my living room, and I think this would be the perfect time to make use of it (as something other than a place to hang clothes).

So here is the plan: Chicken/Salads for Dinner, an English muffin with either PB or butter on it in the morning, 1 c of coffee per day (gotta use the Keuring yet!) then water is it, and for lunch, I am thinking some type of lean cuisine OR chicken broth.  I have also looked into the Cabbage Soup Diet, but I am not sure about that yet.

Workout Routine...  I need to work on my flexibility and strength, so I was thinking of getting up in the morning and doing either a pilates/yoga DVD I have, or Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred.  Then at night I can go for my runs at the gym.  Tuesdays I will use the elliptical at night instead of running, and also on Wed mornings, before Woozie wakes up.

Now I just need to hold myself to this... I also took some measurements before and will try and document the progress (to keep myself in check, I don't forsee this turning into a fitness blog quite yet ;)

What are your plans, if any, to feel better about yourself this summer?
